When you’re in the deep abyss of mental health problems, it’s hard to feel like you have control over your thoughts and feelings. Taking a permanent solution (like ending your life) to a problem that is likely temporary, is not a route you should take.

It’s important that you tell someone how you are feeling. It might be scary to reach out for help, but it’s worth it. Even if there seems to be no hope, people who have experience with suicidal thoughts and suicide attempt survivors do live full lives. These thoughts and feelings do not have to last forever. Having these thoughts doesn’t make you bad or broken. We all need you here. It really does get better.
